Make Money by Selling Expired Domains

Millions of domains expire and get deleted every single day. Once they expire and get deleted we can then scoop them up, buy them and then sell them for profit.
I will show you how to make money online by selling expired domains for high profits using a small collection of free sites and tools.

The System

The first site we go to is www.expireddomains.net . Register an account, its completely free and it takes 30 seconds. This website allows you to view all the expired domains for all extensions (.com, .net, .info, .org, .co.uk, ) and many many more. This website updates throughout the day, every day.

Once you have logged in, go to the ' Deleted .com' tab at the top right corner of the page.

This site is extremely powerful because of its filtering options. You will soon see this and understand it the more you use it.

One you have clicked on the deleted .com tab you will be presented with a list of normally over a million .com domains that have been deleted along with lots of other info about the domain within the table.

We now want to filter this list to try and find a suitable domain to flip for profit. Click on the ' show filter ' link above the table.

This will take you to the common filter. We are not interested in finding
domains with hyphens or numbers in the name so we will check the appropriate boxes.

Now press the ' apply filter ' button. Your list now shows domains without numbers of hyphens in the name. I would always have these checked while playing around with the filter.

The next action to take is pressing the ' SG ' tab at the top of the table. This will display the domains in the order of exact global monthly searches for the keyword within the domain. I have found excact match domains with over 500,00 exact searches per month using this.



The C stands for .com
The N for .net
The O for .org
The B for .biz
The I for .info
The D for .de

If you have a green light it means the domain is available, red means its taken.

Tip : If you find a domain and the .com is green and the .net is red, try selling the .com domain to the owner of the .net. You can find out the owners of domains by going to www.betterwhois.com .  All it takes is a simple email to the owner of the .net domain explaining your are the owner of the .com domain and how you are prepared to sell it to them for a small fee.

You can also find 1 word domains using the filter. Go to the additional filter tab and select English, and max word count to 1. try this with other extensions like .net and .info.

Short domains are also valuable. By short I mean 1-6 letters. If they are
pronounceable, it means they are brandable, which means they will sell for
profit. You can choose how many letters you want in the filter.

Another great filter is the ' contains ' option. This is in the common filter tab. Try using keywords like forum, reviews, money, insurance, download, free, cheap, how to... etc. Have a good play with this one.

Buying the Domain

I usually use www.Godaddy.com to buy domains. Its easy to use and fairly
cheap. Register an account, its free and very quick and easy to do. Godaddy makes transferring domains easy and fast. You don’t need hosting as we are not setting up a website. We just want to purchase domains. Follow the instructions and before you know it you will have a domain which you own.

Selling the Domain

Head over to www.flippa.com . Flippa is a marketplace where you can buy and sell domains, websites and apps.
Get your self an account which is very easy to do and its free! Click the sell link and select that you want to sell a domain. Follow the steps.

In the description make sure you try and sell the domain as best as you can. Tell them about the positives of the domain, if other extensions are taken, how many searches for the keyword, how the buyer could develop it ect. Have a look at other listed domains on the website and get some ideas of how to write your title and description. Be sure to state that you will only transfer to another Godaddy account and that if they haven’t got one they should set one up. This makes the transfer quick, easy and free.

Flippa will charge you $9 to list the domain and will take 5% of the sale. Don’t worry, you will still profit.

As a conclusion make sure you have a really good play over at www.expireddomains.net . Get your self familiar with the filter and you will find some excellent domains.
